Guestroom renovations were completed in March 2006. Adjacent to I-5, the Red Lion Hotel Redding is just five minutes from downtown and 15 minutes from the airport via our complimentary airport transportation. The Redding Convention Center, Mt. "Unless you're a celebrity or in need of a romantic getaway", this spot "close to everything" (Mt. Shasta, Mt. Lassen and Downtown), will "meet your expectations" say fans of the "hospitable" staff, the "clean", "spacious" rooms with "attractive bedding" and the outdoor pool; but a handful complains about "outdated" surroundings despite a recent remodeling, singling out in-room facilities that seem like they're "falling apart" and "unreliable" Internet service.

Their apples were good.
No internet, musty rooms, and unheated pool.
The Red Lion was probably a nice hotel in its day, but it did grow with the times.

Breakfast specials offered in restaurant were delicious and good values; clean room and comfy night's sleep.
Housekeeping staff annoying in early morning; drawers in armoire difficult to impossible to open.
With Priceline discount, stay was a good value. Clean room and bathroom; comfy bed so a good night's sleep. Though decor has been updated, many furnishings seemed tired. Overall, I'd stay there again.

When we checked in we where told that they had towels at the pool. We arrived at the pool and there were no towels! Long hike dripping wet back to our room.

Wonderful landscaping and grounds!
The jacuzzi was too cold!
We have stayed at this hotel for going on 20 years, and it still looks as well as it did in 1989!
